| I agree with the spirit and letter of your post. I've somehow avoided even contemplating tonight's predicament until Saturday, and was hit with what a Broadway audience sabotaging decision this seems to be. The indifference to the loyal CBS watchers is what I can't get past. Had they decided to cram all of the awards into an hour, we would've been disappointed but accepting. But this? At a moment when the overall financial future is still hazy, access and availability to the industry and the art are -- excuse the word -- paramount. This feels wrong-headed on just about every level. It's also crushingly sad. | |
