also let's remember...
at the time of the original postponement of the Tonys, there were many people expecting that (1) it would not happen at all or (2) it would happen only online (meaning on theatermania or the like).
I do not like the split but it is not something we should be kvetching about.
Likewise, let's remember that, while it is true that there are places on earth than get no (or poor) cable or cell service, there are also places where there is no over-the-air television available. There are billions of people in this world of ours who lack access to much more important things than the Tony Awards. Context is a virtue. |
