It does underline how much duets in musicals serve a similar dramatic purpose. And there are too many songs period - how is a show that only has three awards still running 20 minutes overtime?
I wish they had given us more tastes of the upcoming and returning shows. The Ain’t Too Proud number was on fire!
That said - I would pay $100 just to see Jennifer Holliday do "I Am Telling You" followed by Audra and Stokes singing "Wheels of a Dream". Holy crap, that was amazing. |
