first, when Riedel says what Broadway people behind the scenes say, he has spoken to one fellow traveler and extrapolated. His track record is terrible. (Remember the Hamilton gossip from the Public? LOL). Second, the final sentence is simply a lie, the kind of thing Trumps does when he says that Covid is under control and will be gone by x date, that black people love him, etc etc etc. We all (including Riedel) know that there is systemic racism on Broadway, and the powers that be have not done what is happening right now across the business as a folly. If you have a chance to ask Michael a question sometime, ask him to name names. (He won't of course; he is a gossip, not a reporter.) |
