I saw "Over and Over" at the Signature in Virginia in 1999. It had an amazing score--I had several songs stuck in my head for a long time afterwards. But, unfortunately the show just didn't work. My friend saw another performance, and at that performance, Dorothy Loudon was out--but they still performed the show WITHOUT her (and without an understudy)! If that isn't a sign that a show is in trouble, I don't know what is. But the score was so wonderful that I still had a great time, and I would be very curious to see any future incarnations of this piece.
