I don't think it needs star wattage to work. (As opposed to make money which is not the aim here.) I have seen great obscure productions over the years, but the one in the park was not well-conceived and the great actors got lost-something that it is easy to do in this play. I think the most important requirement is a director who can steer this wildly chaotic play into brilliant focus. That did not happen in the park.
