Over and Over was a mess, but a very entertaining mess. I saw it several times, and it was different every time. The main problem was Stein's book. It tried to do too much. Absolutely terrific score. And a great cast. David Garrison and Linda Emond as the Antrobuses. Sherie Rene Scott was fabulous as Sabina. Mario Cantone and Dorothy Loudon as two feuding stage managers. Loudon was totally irrelevant to the show, but she was still fantastic. That's why when she was out, they were simply able to cut her numbers. (Although in one of them, an ensemble number called Military Man, her part was taken by a male ensemble member. )
In addition to Brent Barrett's recording of The Skin of Our Teeth, you can find another song in a revue of Kander & Ebb that Signature put together, called First You Dream. It's available on Amazon Prime Video. The song is called At the Rialto, and it's Sabina's 11 o'clock number. On the video, the song is sung by Heidi Blickenstaff.
