Both Cipriano and Gooding are leaving to do a TV series. They are taking this opportunity to frame their departure as an ethical protest but I feel certain that neither of them would be leaving if they didn't have lucrative gigs to go to. (And how deeply upset could they have been when they said "Okay, well we'll do the Tonys...and then...that's it!"?)
I suppose it's quixotic to say, but man do I long for the days when you could go and see a show and not be aware of what crappy thing one of the cast might have said on Twitter or how the producers were treating the cast. |
