| I saw it today and loved it. A very faithful adaptation of the stage version and I loved the stage version. I didn't think Platt looked any older than the other people that were cast in that high school. The acting was great across the board. The singing was very intimate and never felt awkward like can happen with contemporary musicals onscreen. I don't get all the bad reviews at all. It's a great work about a complicated person dealing with complicated circumstances. I like my lead characters to make mistakes and learn from them. 5 stars. |
