Apologies if this has already been posted.
Speculation heard on BroadwayRadio.com that their new musical "Square One" might very likely be based on Ive's 1988 play "Sure Thing" (Not Bunuel)
This short play is part of an evening called "All in the Timing" which was revived by Primary Stages at 59E59 in January 2013 http://www.iobdb.com/Production/5580
It's a series of scenes about the cold meeting of a man and woman at a cafe, punctuated by a ringing bell which sounds to reset the 'clock' and re-start their conversation after one of them lies to the other. A very Sondheim scenario. |
