Even in seasons where the nominated plays are still running by Tony night, they usually get little airtime.
And in this ''Broadway's Back'' special, other than the Best Musical nominees, most of the other musicals that have reopened, got short shrift.
As you've posted further down the board: ''They should be focusing on the current shows starting up. At least 'Wicked' is still playing. Why not duets from 'Phantom,' 'Chicago,' 'Hadestown' and 'Aladdin'? ... [They] shouldn’t have been celebrating the past but giving current Broadway a showcase.'' |
