I think Lois Smith was the oldest person to win a Tony Award (age 90). Or perhaps, the oldest person to win their first Tony Award?
I remember thinking how nice it was that the first four acting awards went to people who had never won before. Now that I think of it, 7 of the 8 acting awards went to first-time winners. Does anyone have stats on how often that happens? |
