| This is really helpful to me. About two years ago I posted under a Vulture/NY Magazine review and used Latinx. I was raked over the proverbial coals by subsequent posters who told me I had no business using a word that the community it supposedly reflects often rejects, for the very reasons Lopez gently and patiently explains. I opted never to use it. I am happy to learn that Latine is a preferred alternative. |
