What’s going on with 59e59?

They seem to be one of the only major Off-Broadway theatres that hasn’t indicated anything about a return to in-person programming.

I’ve never found them to be the most exciting company – I only feel compelled to see shows there maybe once or twice a season. But I have nothing against them, and it would be a shame to see them struggle to re-open.

I believe they will be reopening with in-person performances starting in January.

One of my favorite modern and pleasant thratre complexes to visit. I've seen at least 10 shows a year there. Three small theatres with very efficient box office and seating staff. Nice to have a theatre on the Eastside.

One of my favorite go-to theater complexes as well.
Pre-pandemic, I was visiting NYC 3-4 times per year (from Boston area) and 59e59 has always been near the top of my list for off-Broadway (Irish Rep #1).
Thank you, Julie J, in your post above, for the info about their expected reopening.

Barbara
