Sorry my memory is a little fuzzy on when, but I've seen his name in connection with the production prior to opening. I think it was about a month ago walking through the theatre district and perusing the billing cards that shows have up in their front of house windows. Maybe it was somewhere else. But in any event I don't believe it's accurate to say he (or they) only joined after it was up and running. I could also be wrong in my recollection.
Given how far down his name is on the billing, I doubt he's done more than write a check. But hey, a celebrity producer/investor can't hurt, and it probably made sense to announce his involvement when he attended recently. |
