| When I did the stage door after seeing Natasha, Pierre, Groban, Belton, and Steele were an absolute hoot and kept causing each other to break into laughter while signing Playbills. I can definitely envision Groban sending a faux-gay e-mail to Steele beginning "Dear Tolly Kuragin". Unfortunately, it doesn't scan as well as "Dear Evan Hansen". Maybe "Dear Andy Bolkonsky" would be better. Steele or Belton could reply "Dear Piotr Bezuhov". Russian names have too many syllables. They need to be shorter. |
