I find it to be a thrilling instrument and I don’t think he pushes but each to his own.
It's those odd contortions he does whenever he sings the word "waiting" (in that song about doing that that the window) etc that always has made me think he's pushing. He looks damned uncomfortable, whether it's healthy singing or not.
