| I've seen the show (Broadway and tour) a total of 5 times, twice with Platt. I was equally impacted emotionally even with the other Evans. The last one I saw was Zachary Noah Piser (the Evan alternate), and he was VERY good. I think it was partly because he read so young on stage (not sure how old he actually is) which made him a much more sympathetic Evan. He did not have all the twitches and mannerisms of Platt's Evan which made him seem like a more normal kid, and you could really understand how someone so youthful and awkward might make the kinds of mistakes that Evan makes in the show. I am looking forward to seeing it again when I return to NY or when the tour come by. |
