| I'm always leery of revisals that interpolate songs from other scores by the same composer/lyricist. The people making the choices usually opt for hits and pass over little known gems, making the revised song list a hit parade of R&Hart songs. I hope this will not be the case. I don't' know Pal Joey well enough to comment on whether or not it even needs additional music, but they should trust the original material. |
