JD's career longevity (and range) is incredible. I just saw Terms of Endearment again. He's always done such heavy lifting in every medium.

MOVIE/TV - This might be his most meaningless role, but I loved him in Purple Rose of Cairo. Enjoying him in American Rust.

Think I saw him in God of Carnage on Broadway IIRC.

Not meaningless to me. I loved “Purple Rose of Cairo.” (And it has Zoe Caldwell in a rare screen role.)

Absolutely! I first saw him in Johnny Got His Gun at Circle Rep. Amazing: An 80-minute (or so) monologue in which he couldn't move, and it was riveting.
