AT FEINSTEIN’S/54 BELOW, BROADWAY’S SUPPER CLUB,
FEINSTEIN’S/54 BELOW, Broadway’s Supper Club, presents A Year in Revue produced by Rye Myers of Rye Entertainment on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at 9:45 pm. A Year In Revue is a show that recounts the past year's events through the work of underrepresented artists in musical theater and beyond. A Year In Revue is not to be missed and will began unforgettable evening with some of Broadway's and New York's best! Patrick B. Phillips and Crystal Wright also serve as co-producers.
A Year in Revue stars some of the best talent in the New York City area with credits that expand from Broadway, Off-Broadway and Regional Theater. The performers include Grammy Nominee and Broadway star Jawan M. Jackson (Ain’t Too Proud, MOTOWN), Sam Tanabe (Allegiance), Crystal Renée Wright, and Jason Yanto. The concert is Music Directed by Patrick B. Phillips who also is one of the co-conceivers of the project. More cast members will be announced in the coming weeks.

SAM TANABE- Sam was a part of the original Broadway cast of Allegiance as a swing and Sammy understudy. He later performed the role of Sammy at SpeakEasy Stage Company in Boston. Other New York credits include Red Eye of Love Off-Broadway, and Hello Dolly! (Barnaby) with the National Asian Artists Project. Regional theatre credits include the Goodspeed Opera House, Sacramento Music Circus, Dallas Summer Musicals, Geva Theater Center, and Boston Theater Company. JAWAN JACKSON- Born and raised in the heart of Motown, GRAMMY Nominee, Jawan M. Jackson is a native of Detroit, Michigan. An Actor, Singer, Radio Personality, and Voiceover Artist, Jawan made his professional debut starring in Broadway's Record-Breaking Smash Hit: MOTOWN THE MUSICAL as bass/baritone Melvin Franklin of The Temptations. A graduate of Eastern Michigan University, Jawan began his career as a radio personality for Detroit's Top Radio Station Hot 107.5. Upon graduation, he successfully helped instill, develop, and execute a program for high school students who had a passion for pursuing a career in acting and the arts. Working as an extra in the film "Sparkle" Jawan was approached by the late-great Whitney Houston who gave him this advice, "Put God first, stand on the foundation that was set for you, and love everyone!" CRYSTAL RENÉE WRIGHT- is a NY/NJ based artist and recent graduate of the BFA Musical Theatre Program at Montclair State University. During her time there she has spearheaded a small but mighty organization that celebrates and advocates for racial diversity within the program called “Live in Living Color.” After graduating she spent the summer at Forestburgh Playhouse in Forestburgh, NY as part of their resident company performing in œBeehive", "World Goes ˜Round and more! Her passion for theatre knows no bounds- when Crystal isn™t performing she loves to work behind the table as a production assistant/choreographer. Outside of the theatre realm Crystal enjoys meditating, and spending time with friends and two cats.
JASON YANTO- Jason is incredibly grateful to be making his 54 Below debut! He recently graduated from Montclair State University with his BFA in Musical Theater, and was last seen as Harold Bride in Titanic. Thanks and love to his parents, Juliana, and Jessica!
PATRICK B. PHILLIPS- Patrick B. Phillips is a versatile music director, conductor, and keyboardist in the New York-New Jersey metro area with specialties in musical theatre and choral music. He has also worked as an educator, keyboardist, copyist, arranger, and orchestrator. Patrick is a proud Rutgers University alum where he received his bachelor's degree in music with concentrations in choral music and piano. Passionate about new musicals, Patrick has had the privilege to work professionally as a music assistant and associate music director on various new musicals and workshops in NYC and NJ. Aside from music and theatre, Patrick is also passionate about learning languages, working as a political activist, cooking, and having a good time with friends.
RYE ENTERTAINMENT- is a production company founded by Host and Producer Rye Myers that focuses on producing works across the theater, film, television, and digital mediums.
