Admittedly a Streisand fan, is the show worth reviving unless it's for a star making turn for Beanie? The second act never worked very well. Were changes made to the book?
Maybe a fresh reimagining in staging will help but I just don't know. It's a good show, not great, with a great score.

I've been in a regional production and saw it down here in New Orleans at Tulane. A sad effort I thought. Most of the humour was lost but that's another story.
Is this a must see?
