Howard Miller takes a look at Lackawanna Blues:

Every once in a while, theater audiences are rewarded with an extra special gift, the opportunity to experience a rare confluence of art without artifice, warmth without treacle, and acting that is generous without being overbearing. That's what it's like to attend a performance of Ruben Santiago-Hudson's solo autobiographical work Lackawanna Blues, where theatrical storytelling is in the sure hands of a spellbinder and, to quote one of the nearly two dozen characters he portrays, "love is a many blended thing."
