The new Charles Busch film THE SIXTH REEL is playing at NewFest's NY LGBTQ+ Film Festival on Monday 10/18 at SVA Theatre. In addition to Charles Busch it stars Andre deShields, Julie Halston, Cady Huffman and Margaret Cho. Also streaming throughout the US.

I’m not a big Charles Busch fan but this movie is worth your time. He only dresses in drag near the end and it makes sense why he does. The plot itself is like a fun madcap caper and it held my interest.
I’ve seen most of them between San Fran and LA festivals. I’d recommend Jump Darling (with Cloris leachman) and Firebird.
To bad extinction of fireflies which was based on the play isn’t showing because that was very good with Michael Urie.
