| They've cancelled a lot of shows at this point. Seems like most people would rather see an understudy than have to reschedule. Right? I'm scared to purchase tickets because I feel like it's too much of a gamble. Busy Bee |

| And even if there were - it's not uncommon for understudies not to be ready to go on immediately. | |

| Interestingly enough, two understudies were on at the first preview of Caroline, or Change. | |

| Timothy Quinlan was on for Grandpa Gellman, which disappointed me a tad, as I was really looking forward to seeing Stuart Zagnit, and Khalifa White was on for Radio 2. Although Quinlan, who also understudies Stuart (the character), is obviously VERY young for his part, both covers knew their tracks remarkably well--as if they'd been doing the show for YEARS. Kudos to them, the backstage staff, and the creatives on their pristine professionalism. White, in particular, was extremely impressive. I can't wait to see what she does next. And the production: there aren't words. I cannot wait to see it again. |
