| Long time same-day ticket Met ticket person here. The regular same-day $25 program unfortunately is "up to" 100 (or maybe more) tickets -- they tend to go really quickly - as in a few minutes. If you get a sold out screen - keep refreshing and you might get a chance to buy, but in my experience it's almost impossible for hot performances. The good news is that they will likely record it for PBS and/or Met on Demand. They did it with a number of performances in 2019. | |

| Okay, I guess the original grant that guaranteed 200 per performance is gone, alas. The articles I found were from 2012-14, so it must've expired. | |

| Varis died several years ago. Other donors have stepped in to keep the program running, but it's not exactly the same as it was when she was guaranteeing the balance on those 200 tickets. | |
