| and he was very disappointing, with a real lack of energy. At least prices were reasonable at that time. Regardless of how Jackman and Foster are in performance, audiences will be giving standing ovations to justify their investment in this, which is practically the cost of half a plane ticket to Australia! I've seen a few productions of "Music Man" over the years, including one at Jones Beach with someone from a soap as Harold Hill (not too memorable), and the last Broadway revival with Eric McCormack (who was good generally though nowhere as crackerjack sparkle as required for "Trouble" and "76 Trombones"); all had excellent Marians -- a part very well-written for a good Broadway soprano. The prices being asked for this latest revival aren't too much short of being for asked for if one knew the Messiah (of whatever one's faith) was coming, no disrespect intended. I wouldn't be surprised if they were asking something on the order of $100 for standing room to be in their presence. Mostly likely, I'll stick to Robert Preston on DVD or streaming and the OCR. I've seen many of the greats, and producers didn't have the temerity to be so greedy in what they charged. That's ok, I don't have to see every show. It's just sad that regular theatregoers are being conned out of seeing a classic musical. Let's call this the "bitcoin production" of it, and hope that prices of cybercurrencies hold steady for their sake, since many of those investors seem to be the ones this is being pitched to. | |

| Sorry. I've reached the point, where enough is enough. Yeah, I'll do a lottery but if I miss this revival, life will go on. There is truth about these scum scalpers and I hope many get burned. | |

| I’d they charged $199, then the scalpers would sell for $399 and pocket $200. I’d rather see the investors get it than scalpers. But the prices are too high for me to see this show again. I’ve seen jackman several times and don’t need to see him in this show. | |

| What percentage of people are carrying around $400 IN CASH (per ticket - or $800 for a pair) these days? Ok, maybe a few 1%ers in their Teslas or whatever they are driving, but most people don't carry very much cash. They are most likely not going to give a scalper info to pay them by Venmo or Paypal, etc. which can somehow be traced to their phone. And what percentage of people going to a hit show pay the scalpers? Screw the scalpers, too! I have no sympathy for the producers, who stand to lose a relatively small percentage of what they are massively over-charging, even in that case. | |

| Scalping occurs on resale of tickets on Ticketmaster and other sites. It’s not as much on the street. But it is a lot of online resales through legit sites. | |

| Considering how expensive tickets are, they're selling the extreme sides of the mezz for the relative bargain of $99 + fees. I've never been in the Winter Garden (after 30+ years of going to Broadway, I think it is the only Broadway house that I've never been in)... are those terrible seats? Looking at the seating chart, that mezz is awfully wide, and some of the pics from View from My Seat look like the side mezz are practically box seats. Anyone got thoughts on sitting on those extreme sides? I'm torn on this one. I pretty much hate everything about the show... but my God, Hugh Jackman tap dancing, that's worth abandoning your values for two hours. |

| On 11/15/2019 my partner and I bought Beetlejuice rush tickets for $43 -- they were extreme house right seats O 40 & O 42, marked partial view. I don't recall them being terrible for that show. I don't remember missing anything significant. Do you know if standing room is being offered for The Music Man? |

| I remember seeing Lansbury in "Mame" from an extreme side mezzanine location. The location was sold as having an obstructed view, as indeed it did. The action right down front was visible, but other wise a good third of the stage was not. Views into the wings were excellent. I really didn't enjoy the show because of this awkward point of view. | |

| I love The Music Man and bought tickets when they went on sale. I purchased two front row mezzanine seats on the near left for $279.00 each. I didn't expect to receive a discount code for this production. I realize this is still a ridiculous amount of money to spend on one show, but they were available when the tickets were first on sale. My father was in a Barbershop quartet, and they always did "Standing on the Corner", so I would hate to miss it. |

| I happen to notice this the other day and told a co-worker who was waiting to buy tickets about it and they passed on it- The sudden 'lack of interest' in this sudden hot ticket seems weird to me. I'm sure it will change closer to when performances begin, but just noting it. | |

| I sure do love me some Hugh and Sutton, but sadly, the greed is clearly out of control…and growing. It’s become a show for the 1%ers…of which I am not one. I’m sure I won’t be missed, but there’s no way in hell I can or will justify contributing to this madness. Really does make me sad, though. 😢 $599 indeed. |
