The sparse set didn't really bother me. If I think a production is well acted and well directed - even if there are just a couple of chairs - I can let my imagination take me on the ride. To me, that's the beauty of theatre. It doesn't have to be literal. All my opinion, of course. I don't equate ticket value with set/costumes/cast size.
I did wish that the chorus had been augmented a bit.
