I think it's a bit tricky. For a commercial work, there has to be some kind of driver of the action, and we're excluding sitcoms, family dramas, workplace shows, and pieces where the protagonist is married. A large portion of what's left is going to be driven by romance. The author chose to have the protagonist be single for a reason.

One genre that's often romance-free is the mystery/thriller genre. Poirot and Miss Marple are rarely involved in romantic subplots. Many horror films don't have a romantic subplot -- the characters are more worried about not getting killed than anything else.

A lot of children's literature has a child as the protagonist, and almost all of those stories would qualify. Encyclopedia Brown and his co-detective Sally have no romantic interest in each other.
