Totally agree. Carol Hall deserved a Tony nomination for her twangy ''Texas'' score. Had she been nominated, I believe she would've been the 3rd solo woman Tony-nominated for writing the music AND lyrics, following Micki Grant (''Don't Bother Me, I Can't Cope,'' 1973) and Elizabeth Swados (''Runaways,'' 1978). It'd take over another 3 decades before a solo woman WON a Tony for music and lyrics: Cyndi Lauper (''Kinky Boots,'' 2013).
