Jacqueline Stewart, an African-American professor, narrates a TCM short documentary film about blackface which comes with no warning that you are about to see images and films of performers doing this kind of performing. It really should come with a warning before it is shown, as it is quite disturbing; it has been shown many times between films on TCM. Professor Sheng, due to today's "getting off on being outraged and who do we cancel next?" or perhaps just the effect of too many helicopter parents preventing their kids from seeing unpleasant things climate, should have warned his college students what they were about to see, especially from a historical perspective. TCM should be given similar guidance to add some kind of warning, but not censure or dismissal. Same with Professor Sheng.
