Watching it on TV as I write this. Does Father ever become a tolerable character? He just seems like such an obnoxious loudmouth a**hole! Even in the person of suave and charming William Powell. Amazing that it was the longest-running show in Broadway history for yonks. What unseated it? Oklahoma! I guess.
