Does anyone know if Sondheim had written appraisals of those peers of his who are still alive?

Reading the account of his mentorship of Jonathan Larson, I am curious if anyone knows if he has left behind any critiques of contemporaries like Jerry Herman, Kander & Ebb, Bock & Harnick, Adams & Strouse and the younger generation of Stephen Schwartz, Ahrens & Flaherty, David Yazbeck, William Finn, Jason Robert Brown and his protege Adam Guettel?

Let alone Rice & Webber :).

I know he didn't write about any living people in the two lyric books but he must have had detailed opinions of so many others.
