That was quite wonderful. Fascinating stuff about the size of the film vs the theater, since the film performances -- beloved as they are -- are often discussed as being stage-bound, particularly Kelly's. And that moment they examine is one often pointed to as LeRoy's error -- not toning down her wrist banging gesture to suit film.
I was very touched by her commentary on working in Morning's at Seven. She was just lovely in the production -- she and Tony Roberts the highlight for me -- and I'm sorry it didn't finish its run. |
