Yes, the show was just beginning techs when Covid shut it down so Lapine and LCT had a pretty clear idea of what was onstage. If he wanted to fix or change anything, he had more than a year and a half to reconsider and make changes. I don't really see how going out of town would have helped him if he wasn't listening to any feedback anyway, not to mention the added expense. The real mystery is why LCT didn't program the show for the Mitzi Newhouse.
