I had two encounters (and they involved actual conversations) with him and both were memorable. One of them is one of my favorite stories to tell, but unfortunately it's not exactly fit to print. But without including those facts, I asked him a question about something I saw him do in an on-line video where he was teaching a master class involving a song from ALNM. His face went blank, he sort of looked at me for a few seconds as if he though that I was out of my mind, but his expression began to change and he started to guffaw, saying "I never thought of that, but I get it." It's something I'll never forget.
