LOL. Not sure if you are tarring me with the "PC police" label, which makes me laugh since I am almost always the one inveighing against the contemporary inability to appreciate or enjoy work from bygone eras.
I admittedly did not watch the whole movie- reason I suppose to condemn me- but in my brief glimpse of the beginning of the film I was struck by how relentlessly dogmatic and pompous the Fsther is and my inclination was to say "Ah shaddup" and turn the TV off.
I'll give it another go next time it's on.
I really love old movies.
