Why does criticism on this board have to be constructive?

We're not offering to help the production by telling them what we think, are we? I think it is perfectly respectful to call something a disaster or say that it sucked. An emotional response is valid. Now, the people here at ATC might want you to be specific to better understand why you felt that way but the idea that we are all held to a standard of "criticize in a way that will constructively help the production team" makes no sense to me.

If I was in a show and someone gave me "constructive criticism" on a message board, I'd be like "fuck you, that's the director's job," Tell me you like it, tell me you don't, but I'm not looking for you to guide my performance.
