When you say "we'll likely be wearing", do you mean you and your friends will be wearing them at your comfort, to prevent catching the virus (not to mention colds, the flu, etc.) Or do you mean "we'll ALL be wearing them', as in masks will be required indoors until 2024? I ask because only a week or so ago the New York Times ran a piece saying that, with Omicron less serous than Delta and with children widely able to be vaccinated, mask mandates and requirements can likely be safely phased out during the first few months of the new year, after the holiday travel season is over along with any possible January surge.
Just curious. (I myself plan ton wear masks on public transport for the foreseeable future but can't wait to rip them off when it comes to theaters; I already feel completely safe when sitting still and eating snacks at the movies, and as long as vaccine passports remain in place the same would hold true for indoor dining, shopping, and theatergoing.) |
