Whether or not the immigrant experience is central to the story, the people who are writing these types of articles are primarily pointing out the way that it falls short in its writing and production choices around how the Puerto Rican characters are depicted, which I think is absolutely fair. You seem to be criticizing them for something other than what they are saying, rather than engaging with the valid criticisms.
