Yes! A few years ago I purchased the CD, on the basis of the favorable reviews I'd read and very much enjoyed it. I just took it out and will play it again.
I find it interesting that Charlotte Moore(not known for being a composer)thought it necessary to write her own songs when she decided years ago to present a musical of the play(originally titled The POOR of NY)for Irish Rep instead of reviving the '63 show. She has now put her show on again--to mixed reviews, to say the least.
In 2019, the Metropolitan Playhouse which operates out of a shoebox on the Lower East Side and which specializes in producing revivals of old plays did the original Boucicault play. Very well, if I recall correctly, as they do with many of their choices.
