It's the opening number. It's the whole cast. It's the title song. It was an easy set to trot out (or reproduce). But no, it wasn't a good choice for "GMA" because it played as it's meant to, as it does it in the production. It's glossy and harsh and in Bobbie's head, seeing the worst slant on all of her friends.
"Another Hundred People" (skipping the scenes) would probably have been a better choice, even though that's a solo number for not-the-star. It would have looked better in the open air and come off more as "here's a show you want to see." And N-Y-C! |
