I haven't - knock wood - got sick from attending theatre.
HOWEVER. I saw the new revival of Cabaret in London a couple of weeks ago, and then 36 hours later got pinged by the contact tracing app to say I'd been in close proximity that day to someone who had since tested positive for Covid. Given the way the app works (it generates a ping if you are within 2m of someone who reports a positive test result for 15 minutes or longer), and given my movements that day, it is very unlikely I was exposed anywhere but in the theatre.
(I took a test, it came back negative, I had no symptoms - and I wore a mask in the theatre, although nobody else around me did.) |
