Just be prepared to NOT be disappointed if your show gets cancelled- three weeks ago the chances of cancellations seemed slim but based on today's crazy news the chance of a cancellation seems more likely. It's also two weeks after a holiday so consider that if scheduling after the Christmas holiday. Another thing to consider- buy your tickets from a place that you know you'll get an easy refund.

I was on a trip to NYC the first week of October and had tickets to the Aladdin show that was cancelled one hour before showtime. I got a full refund, walked around the corner and I saw The Lehman Trilogy, another show on my wish list but wasn't planning to see (Very happy I saw this). Because the Aladdin show was cancelled with only an hour's notice I didn't have many theater choices close by to run to after getting my refund. Theaters are sending emails about cancellations, but most people find out when getting to the theater.

I just got back from NYC yesterday and fortunately none my 3 shows were cancelled but I did see Harry Potter on Tuesday and the Wednesday show was cancelled. Some of the shows on my back up list were cancelled.

Personally I feel you should buy tickets in advance for the shows you must see and then add shows the day of while you are there. Allows more flexibility. Have a back up plan. Most of all Have Fun! Hope this helps.
