we've been vax+mask in theatres since day one of the reopening.It seems to have worked. We also require vax in indoor restaurants and bars (where, obviously, people are taking their masks off). Until Omicron arrived, we were pretty close to the "off ramp." Hopefully we still are. FYI, the rule here now is that a mask is required indoors unless the establishment (shops, office buildings, etc.) is checking credentials. I was eating indoors but I've stopped. I am going to the theatre [when it is not cancelled :-( ]. I don't worry for myself as long as I am masked. I do understand that epidemiologists are concerned about spread among the unmasked which is why masks are required in theatres and the like. I am glad to hear that mask compliance seems to be increasing in the UK with the new rule.
