I think pricing is a major challenge, because there are only a limited number of seats for each performance, and for better or worse, there are a large number of people attending a Broadway show who can pay what feels like extreme prices. Concerts have the same issue.

Six sounds like it is a lot of fun, but $499 for an 80-minute show with a small cast that are not box office draws and a minimal set seems like the value balance is off. But apparently plenty of people are willing to pay that. The premium seating area is pretty large.

It wasn't all that long ago that I gave myself an arbitrary limit of not wanting to pay more than $1 a minute for a show. (I realize this penalizes shorter shows and is not logical.) But that went quickly from easily achievable to requiring effort. I think Hamilton was the first show where it is not possible. There are no discounts and I believe the cheapest seat is $199.
