| I think your suggestion is a little too broad but I also think that (like I think about everything) it has to do with resonance and the fact (painful as it may be in some precincts of this precinct) is that a show like WSS does not have broad resonance beyond the (fairly big by other standards) niche audience. And I think the fiasco of WSS is heavily compounded by the fact that the audience for whom it is the most resonant is also the audience that is currently the least likely to go into a theatre. |
