| I am surprised you are shocked. We are going to lose shows that I would think are higher on your list. The way I see it, we have a core of 10-12 shows that will weather the storm regardless. (And based on South Africa, I anticipate the storm will pass NYC at some point in February.) There are another dozen that would not have made it even without Omicron. So we are wondering about what happens with the great middle. It seems no one is willing to provide leadership. (The putative leader is a joke.) Leadership, a plan, a strategy, is the only way out for these middle shows and as more days pass, it seems clear there will be no plan. To me it seems most of the middle will not make it out the other side. Maybe we will get half of the current number, if we are lucky. It could be worse. Broadway will build back, but it's gonna be ugly. All imo obvs. |
