I don't know that I really have her thinking all that much--most of that would flash through the mind of a woman recognizing a man she was once (still?) in love with in less time than it took me to spell it all out in the post above. ("It's HIM--I can't let him leave!") I know you posted below that you don't think she recognizes him immediately, but I really don't know how else that scene (from "The Worst Pies In London" through "My Friends") can play if she doesn't recognize him almost immediately.
I agree, of course, that the actress playing Lovett shouldn't be indicating her recognition of Sweeney from the minute he walks in the door. But I suspect that the penny drops in Lovett's mind pretty soon after that. |
