Yes, those singers sing a different style but the vocal production and soprano sounds are similar. Heck, some Broadway soprano roles like Eliza in "My Fair Lady" don't even go that high, like a G perhaps? I don't think Marian goes that high, does she? Maybe an A natural at the end of "My White Night"; it otherwise helps if she has a beautiful crystalline legato like Barbara Cook had in her renditions. I can maybe see a little room for belting (as someone says Sutton Foster does) in the "Piano Lesson" her brief singing of "76 Trombones" when it's revealed to be a faster version of "Goodnight, My Someone", (maybe) a few sections of "My White Knight", but not things so delicate and lyrical as "Goodnight, My Someone", "Will I Ever Tell You" and "Till There Was You".
